Traffic control is becoming increasingly important, at a time of economic recovery, and a growing insertion of Brazilian companies in a global context, generating ever greater commercial airflow. The segment also requires constant modernization, along with the new technologies available. On the other hand, the activity faces new challenges, such as the issue of drones, and other old ones such as illegal flights.

Today, the validity (and indeed, fundamental necessity) of the helicopter in policing and public safety activities is not discussed. However, next to this, new technologies and models of aerial platforms, such as drones, airships, captive balloons, etc. arise. In addition, of course, new types of helicopters and airplanes, and a variety of electronic systems and sensors, ranging from NVG and FLIR to thermal imaging (IR), low-light TV (LLLTV), datalink, moving map, etc.
Thus, this event seeks to bring together the main police and public safety leaders from all over Brazil, to discuss current realities, new technologies, companies operating in the market, etc.

Simulators,
the New Dimension

Ministry of Defense
Simulator technology has accelerated, and dramatically, in recent decades. This has also expanded the uses and possibilities, ranging from leisure, to basic flight instruction and advanced training, including "virtual" exercises with the participation of various forces. In civil aviation, hours in simulator began to count for the graduation of pilots, both in PP and PC, besides the use for improvement and adaptation to new technologies (like HUD). Finally, the increasing use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) establishes a total "symbiosis" with the systematic use of simulators.
This meeting aims to discuss all these factors and applications, technologies and companies, leading the debate to civil aviation, pilot training, military employment, public safety and others.

Naval Aviation of the Brazilian Navy, the Future

Ministry of Defense, Navy of Brazil
The Naval Aviation is a relevant and crucial part of the Brazilian Navy's operational power, which was the pioneer Force in our country in the use of air assets.
Far from being restricted to squadrons, the relevance of Naval Aviation (structured in the Naval Air Command) is felt in the fleet and in all naval doctrine.
Within this reality, this year of 2018 marks a very important moment for the Naval Air Command, with the arrival of several new air assets, such as the H225M (Exocet antiship missile-armed version); the first upgraded Super Lynx (Wildcat standard) and others; and above all, the recently acquired helicopter carrier and support for amphibious operations ship, the PHM Atlantico (A-140) - which opens up a whole new range of employment and operational possibilities, and is now one of the most modern and advanced major ships in service in a Navy in the Southern Hemisphere.
This event, therefore, comes against this new reality and its perspectives for the future, including projects and new requirements.
With official support from the Brazilian Navy and the Ministry of Defense, the Forum still pays tribute to the 102 years of our Naval Aviation, celebrated on August 23.
